shanley Posted July 12, 2012 #201 Share Posted July 12, 2012 Just wondering about the type of hair drier in the rooms, are they just a regular small drier or are they salon quality? I need a large powerful one to get my locks strait....Thanks :) The hair driers are a just small ones. They are in the desk drawer so you blow dry in the main cabin not the bathroom. They are new so they are still effective, but no where near salon quality. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Baby_Bear Posted July 15, 2012 #204 Share Posted July 15, 2012 Q: Where did the ship dock in Venice & how much was the transfer to St Marc's Square? A: The main pier in Venice. However, please note that the cruise actually started in Venice, so we flew in two days before. We stayed at the Hilton Stucky Molino on Guidecco Island. The transfer from there to the Cruise ship terminal was very short.....as a matter of fact, we were the next to last stop to getting to the pier, so it was 8 euro per person for us. If you go to http://www.venicelink.com, you should be able to see the pricing for the Agualinia transfer service that can get you to St Mark's Square faster than the vaperetto. Bassmaster - I see that you were staying at the Hilton pre cruise and it sounds like you took the Alilaguna from the hotel to the cruise port. I had a couple of quick questions as we are planning on doing the same thing: From the Alilaguna stop at the cruise terminal, how much of a walk was it to the Breeze? I will be with my mom, we will each have one suitcase and one carry on (sharing) so 3 pieces of luggage in total. Can we manage that easily? Are there luggage carts available? Where did you buy your Alilaguna ticket for the ride from the hotel to the cruise terminal? Is there a ticket booth right there at Guidecca? Thanks! sunshine0768 Posted August 13, 2012 #210 Share Posted August 13, 2012 Q: What tour did you take in Rome? There are several listed as options and we are not sure which one would give us the most time in Rome, and see the most. A: Rome at its Best. Started at the Vatican, headed to lunch, then to Coliseum (went inside it), then off to Trevi Fountain. I believe we walked by the Spanish Steps. There is so much to see over there, that it is hard to do it in a day. Thanks bassmaster. We are considering taking the Rome at its Best tour also. From the description, it doesn't look like it includes the Sistine Chapel. Can you verify that. Also, if not included and based on your experience, is there time to "work in" the Sistine Chapel during any free time on the tour? Thanks!
