Fury Catamarans have a stairway that is lowered into the water at the snorkel site. Just like walking up and down the stairs, no ladder. The guides are extremely helpful, just let the supervisor know the situation and they'll provide extra help for that 1st step up out of the water. After that, it's clear sailing;)!

We didn't take a "tour" but you might like Dzul Ha. It was a wonderful place to snorkle. They have a staircase into the water and a number of places to rent equiptment.

We planned to spend the morning. We went to Palmar Estate Beach Club across the street. They have a very nice fresh water pool. clean bathrooms $8 for equiptment, $2 for a locker and a light lunch menu. They have a $5 daily fee but if you go to www.cozumelinsider.com you can get a coupon. It was great not to rush the snorkling. When the mask leaked or you get water up your nose(hey it happens) you could just walk across the street take a swim, rest on a lounge chair or sit on the small sand beach and go back to snorkling when your ready. It turned out great and we stayed the whole day. The frozen drinks were $4 and the food was pretty good.

Many snorkle boats and land tours stoped here and getting a cab was no problem. We had a great day! JM
