Booking a cruise on the ship

Hi All, Just a word of warning.

 

While on the Celebration last week, priced a cruise which was supposed to be an exclusive deal!

 

Of course my husband, being my husband had me phoning our travel agent to check the price, low and behold they could do it £200 cheaper. Did take this price back to the ship but was told they couldn't discount any further.

 

I did notice there always was a queue of people,and did see people booking so be aware check it out before you book. ;)

Yes, good warning, they do take advantage of cruisers "being in the right mood" and wanting to book again to repeat the experience while on board. However, as you point out it is never usually the best thing to do and better prices are found elsewhere.

Had similar experience on Celebration last year, prices quoted were clearly over the top - we asked the sales agent if he was having a laugh.

Take your iPod (or whatever) with you and checkout online prices at a free WiFi location ashore via CruiseDeals - then compare them to the onboard offers.
