Another Progreso question..

When we were there back in 2008, our group found a bar across from the beach. The young guy that owned it told us he was from louisiana (maybe, maybe not) any hooo, we had a great time with some great drinks, i recall getting 2 for 1 all day. Do they still have some places/bars that will do good drink deals like this?

We were there just under two years ago and we hit the bars right there off the bridge. Hung out on the beach and they were spot on refreshing us with cold beers. We didn't get two for one but the beer prices were fantastic and they made sure our beers were always cold. Heading there again this July and will probably do the same thing. We just walked the beach where they had 'waiters' standing out there until we found a place that had a great beverage/massage deal we didn't want to pass up. I hope it is that way this time.
