Roll Call NCL Star 07/17/05 Alaska

Have a group of 8 going out of Seattle on 07/17/05 on the Star. (2 Bear couples, 1 female couple, 1 male couple. Hows that for diversity!).

 

Anyone else going?

 

Also, anyone who's been on the Star, what are the don't miss things on the ship and what's over-hyped. How are spa services and which restaurants should we hit first?

 

Any FOD gatherings on the MEX Riviera itenerary this summer?

Hey there, PvtBear.

 

My partner and I (bears also, by the way) are taking the Star to Alaska this September 18th. We're taking my parents who have never been on a cruise.

 

I'm in terror of feeling completely overwhelmed by "breeders". Did the ship offer any "Friends of Dorothy" parties? If so, how were they?

 

We'd really like to go if they have those, but I wish I knew ahead of time when they were going to be so they wouldn't conflict with differ reservations. (From what I've read in other reviews, the food in the free and non-reservation restaurants sucks.)

 

Any advice?
