Brilliance of the Seas Dec 2011 Dubai Cruise - Picture Review

I am wondering whether there is any interest in a picture review of our Brilliance of the Seas Dubai cruise (December 2011). I didn't get a chance to do a review earlier.

 

I quite like the Brilliance. A very beautiful ship, even though it has yet to be revitalized with all the latest stuff.

 

 

Anyway, since the cruise was a while back, not sure if there is interest. So I'll just post here to gauge the interest level before deciding whether to continue.

The decision to go to Dubai for the 7 night cruise on the Brilliance came suddenly.

 

We were just back from our Legend OTS 7 night cruise (June 2011) and we badly wanted to cruise again!

 

My dear wife was looking through the RCI website and noticed this interesting itinerary. The prices looked really good, even though we would have to fly ourselves to Dubai and back. Furthermore, JS 1100 was available!

 

So we booked it! And got my parents and sister plus her hubby to come along too! My family took JS 1100. My parents took the aft balcony cabin next to us. My sis & husband took the balcony cabin next to my parents.

 

This was the Singapore Airlines plane that we took to Dubai. Flight time was about 7 hours.

We landed one day before the cruise and stayed at a very large service apartment.

 

The next morning, we could walk around to the beach.

Beware of Rip Currents! Anyway, we did not swim. It was too cold to swim.

Our 7 night sailing was:

 

Day 1 - Depart Dubai (UAE), 6pm

Day 2 - Fujairah (UAE) - 8am arrival, 5pm departure

Day 3 - Muscat, Oman - 9am arrival, overnight

Day 4 - Muscat, Oman - depart 6pm

Day 5 - Crusing

Day 6 - Abu Dhabi (UAE) - 8am arrival, 6pm departure

Day 7 - Dubai (UAE) - 8am arrival, overnight

Day 8 - Dubai (UAE) - disembark

 

In terms of actual sailing, the ship doesn't sail very much for this cruise!
