Fujairah (Arabic: الفجيرة‎ Al Fuǧaira) is one of the seven emirates that make up the United Arab Emirates, and the only one on the Gulf of Oman in the country's east instead of on the Persian Gulf (the other six emirates).

 

As a whole, I think the UAE is a very progressive Islamic country, compared to some other Middle Eastern countries.

They put up an ice-carving at the entrance to the Windjammer.

Don't be mistaken, the ship's water from the tap is perfectly safe to drink.

 

But we just have this practice of buying plenty of bottled water for our personal consumption when in our cabin.

 

We got this from a supermarket near our hotel, before boarding the ship.

Since we didn't go onshore, there was plenty of time, to swim!

 

Wife & kids had great fun on the water-slide. Take note that the slide was only opened about 2 to 3 hours each day, usually in the afternoons. A staff would be stationed at the start of the slide, to ensure safety. When closed, the door leading to the slide would be locked.

Great pictures so far! I'm loving seeing all the details about a cruise that I'd LOVE to go on, but really isn't possible in the foreseeable future... I am enjoying living vicariously through this review ;)
