robcassell Posted May 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2005 I will be staying in the Royal Suite on the Explorer soon and was wondering how tipping differs in this room than others. I have prepaid for tips(is this a good idea) and was wondering what extra should I give since I am staying in the nicest room and to whom. Also, was prepaying a dumb idea, will they think I am cheap and not give me good service?

Prepaying is dumb if you do it before the cruise; do it onboard and keep the money in your pocket as long as possible. Also, if you do it onboard your attendants/servers never know until the end of the trip--in any case I doubt they'll think you are cheap.
