DALSAL Posted July 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 17, 2012 I did Paradise in 07, and enjoyed it..but am thinking of trying the new one which is only 25 mins from Waikiki. Chiefs Luau by Sealife Park. You can check it out on their website. http://www.chiefslaua.com He uses the fire, which I love!
cruisingrightalong Posted July 17, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 17, 2012 As they say In My Humble Opinion....daughter lived there for 4 years in the Army so went to both....Paradise Cove over Germaine's hands down! Lou
agabbymama Posted July 17, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2012 Paradise Cove over Germaines. Germaines is mainly the meal & a show. While Paradise Cove does the same type of meal & show, they also have the arts & crafts of Hawaii. Showing what a "hukilau" is, making leis, games, etc. Set up like a real Hawaiian village. More fun things to do at Paradise Cove. I took family to Germaines and was soooo disappointed.

dcruisers Posted July 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 19, 2012 Do they by chance have transportation to and from ship? We want to do SS Arizona first and then do the luau in the evening. We weren't planning on renting a car so was hoping they would offer transportation. Thanks!

Desert Cruizers Posted July 24, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 24, 2012 We will be in Waikiki following our Tanspacific cruise and had been considering the Paradise cove Luau. We did Germaines yrs ago, and have read very good reviews on the Paradise cove one, I believe my mind has been made up now.
welove2cruise* Posted July 24, 2012 #9 Share Posted July 24, 2012 We chose Germaine's based on earlier reviews on these boards and the price was a bit lower than PC. PC also does not offer alcohol and Germaine's includes 3 Mai Tai's in the cost of admission which sounded fun..especially since we aren't driving. ;)

pie223 Posted July 26, 2012 #11 Share Posted July 26, 2012 Hey , I do not want to be negative, but on our recent trip to Hawaii the one thing I really wished I had not done was the Paradise Cove Laua. I had illusions of it being more like a Laua and it was more like a buffet and a show. If I had to do over I would diffently skip.
