Drink package Fantasia

The wife and I just got off Fantasia after a nice 7 day med cruise.

We bought the 20 Euro drink package. We had all the drinks we wanted and wine at every dinner, water, coffee....the works.

So it cost to sign up...$466 for the two of us.

Would you believe that I added up all the receipts and found that the whole cruise the drink package had paid for .............. Yes...$466.

Hard to believe but that's what it came to. I added it all up and added the 15 percent and it came to exactly the same as it cost.

My wife does drink but not as much as I do. So I'm figuring that a couple who both drank as much as I do, could probably save some money buying the drink package.

I have no complaints, just telling the way it came out for us.

Was this the Cheers or Allegrissimo package? I have booked the latter at £20 (not Euros) per night - paying in Euros was not an option.

It's only sold in £s in the UK, if you are booked via another country, they charge in euros or dollars. On the Italian site it's priced at 23€ for adult Allegrissimo, can't see the Cheers one on the site.

My package was $33 per person per day.

As I said it covered all the bar drinks other than those made with name brand alcohol. It covered 5 different kinds of wine, 2 red, 2 white 1 sparkling, Draft beer, fancy coffees.

It's hard to see how anyone can really save money buy buying a $45 or $55 card. I guess it could be done, but they would have to do some drinking.

I have yet to see anyone's numbers revealing how they did with the drink card vs. what they paid for the card.
