Oasis/Allure -- best OS cabin/deck?

Recommended Posts

I'll likely soon be booking an Owner's Suite on the Oasis for next May. Can anyone clue me in to the more desirable deck, or indeed cabin# ?

Something tells me I won't be in Kansas anymore (compared to the Sovereign)! ;)

THANKS!

We like deck 14 because cabins are under an overhang that blocks out direct sun & rain. Others specifically don't like deck 14 just because of that overhang. It all comes down to personal preferences. Your sure to get lot's of different opinions for a variety of reasons.

Did a bit of evaluating on the Royal Caribbean site (deck plans)...

Deck 10 looked good, until I saw that the OS on that level is right next to a "Royal Family Suite" which can accommodate 8 people (and has a connecting next to it)... thus there could be up to a dozen people on the balcony next to us. Not sure how peaceful a sea day might be out there.

Deck 11 looked like the best choice. There are four OS cabins there, two of those are connecting to the standard balcony next to them. I have read that on the Oasis connecting cabins have potential sound issues from the door between them - one reviewer indicated that they could hear the (normal conversation level) voices next door. This deck has the advantage of having the lower level of the Concierge Lounge close by. The catch here is that, the week we are looking at, only the two which are connecting are available.

Deck 14 is similar to deck 11 (four OS, two connecting), and again, the only two available are the connecting cabins. The drawback here is that deck 14 is where all the kids spaces are - so my guess is that more families (with little ones afoot) will be on this deck. Nothing against families (we have kids, LOL), but a higher % of children correlates with a higher chance of screaming, crying, etc!!

So --- my guess is that the best bet would be to take one of the deck 11 (connecting) OS cabins, and just hope we have neighbors that are not loud/chatty people!

Guess I managed to answer my own question -- though I am still up for feedback!

We love Deck 14 also. Can't go wrong with the location.

Well... we DO like shade!

Are decks 10 and 11 not covered?

Decks 10 & 11 are indeed covered. We just don't like sitting on our balcony under direct sun, especially in the afternoon, and deck 14 provides a large overhang that does an effective job of blocking direct sun/ Wish I had a picture to better explain

Had GS 11660 on Oasis and loved the location. It is steps away from the CL. The OS are close by as well. Had 14636 the year before and it was not quiet due to being under the kiddie pool. I would go with deck 11! Have a great cruise!

Thanks for the info!

Can't book until Monday with the fellow I'm going through (we usually ALWAYS book direct - but this is with a Casino Junket operator), getting the OS for ~$2,300 instead of ~$7,300 is reasonable incentive! In just the last 24 hours though, a third (of the 4) OS cabins has gone off the radar on deck 11... DARN!
