Thanksgiving Week Carnival Cruise

My family is considering a Carnival cruise leaving on Thanksgiving. Compared to peak times, about how many kids should be expected? I will be bringing two kids, 8 and 10 and I would like there to be enough kids for Camp Carnival to be a worthwhile experience for them.

We've never cruised Carnival, but have done five cruises over American Tgiving week -- rcci, ncl and celebrity. It has been a prime time for kids.

We typically cruise from the weekend prior to tgiving to th weekend after. If the cruise you are looking at leaves on tgiving and is relatively short (5-7 days)-- it will probably have lots of kids. If it leaves on tgiving and is out for 10-12 days there will be considerably fewer.
