Need help on CC board

I only made one post and then I got an e-mail sent to my personal

e-mail address I gave when I registered with additional comments on the thread where I made one comment. Is this something new? My wife said that never happened to her and I really do not want e-mails sent to my personal e-mail address every time I comment. I do not use the computer much and I thought I read most the rules, but need to know how to stop the e-mails. Help please.

It sounds like you subscribed to the thread which will email you after every post. Go to the thread. Up at the top, you will see thread tools, subscribe to this thread then on the right under notification type, change it to no email notification. Hopefully this will help. If not, hopefully someone else will know what happened. Good Luck

Did you get an email about this posting? If not you just subscribed to the first thread.

Open up your User Control Panel, and select EDIT OPTIONS.

 

Make sure you did not select default subscriptions and email notifications, and change it to how you like it. You can subscribe to all threads you write to, and still have no email notification.

 

Or have no subscriptions at all.

I get this too, everything I post on comes in my personal email. I have learned to unsubscribe but will try changing my settings- Thanks. It doesn't really bother me tho- I just delete before reading them.

Okay I think I put not to subscribe to threads, but is there a way to subscribe only to the ones you want.

You can subscrib to individual threads, and you can select if you want to get an email after every new post, or 1 email a day with all new posts. Hope this helps
