Expedited passport time

Thanks for posting this....was just wondering about the time frame. Thinking this time we will go ahead and get our passports, since we may actually get off the ship this time in port.

Did you pay for the expedited service? We renewed my DH's and ordered new for DD and DS with 5 weeks to spare. I know they say 4-6 weeks so we decided to risk it without paying extra because we do have our DLs and birth certificates too.

Ordered ours on 7/21 (Renewal for DH and new for DS and DD) and they all got here by 8/14 so it took about 25 days / 3.5 weeks. Regular service. Very pleased.

If you are allowed to plan ahead a few months, a passport will come within a month, on most accounts.

We got ours when the news was,"You need a passport to cruise" years back, and had ours within a month.

It seems the hype has passed, and it takes less time to receive them.

(By the by, I'm glad we have them, regardless!);)

I ordered a replacement passport (had to go to a post office to do) the beginning of July, and it took about 18 days, regular service.

I dropped my app at the post office 07/27 regular service and got the passport back 08/12...they say 4-6 weeks but I think that is worst case scenario

Dropped off my passport app at the PO on Mar 30, got it back on Apr 6! I had paid the expedited fee as I had a cruise at end-April and wanted to be sure I got my passport back in time. Well worth the extra fee!

Rrrrrr My BF's was sent in July 11th we are still waiting..... Called and all they say is it's in processing. :(

I told him he should have had it expedited... We leave in 9 days.
