carolinesmom Posted July 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 28, 2012 We will be on LOS in one week! We have only cruised once before on Celebrity in the Caribbean. On the port days they left beach towels for us in our rooms to use off the ship. I'm assuming the same will be true this time, but wanted to check. We're planning to hit the beach on our two stops in France and Capri. Will they provide towels? Thanks!
DonnaK Posted July 28, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 28, 2012 It's a bit different on RCI. You have to check out towels on the pool deck using your Sea Pass. (one person can check out enough for your whole family). Then, throughout the cruise, you can exchange dirty towels for clean ones at the kiosk on the pool deck. On the last day, you return the towels, and make sure they clear your account. If you do not return the number of towels that you originally checked out, you will be charged $20 per towel. carolinesmom Posted July 28, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted July 28, 2012 Thanks! That should be fine. We'll just have to monitor the kids closely at the pool so we don't have a huge bill for towels at the end of the cruise!
DonnaK Posted July 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 28, 2012 Thanks! That should be fine. We'll just have to monitor the kids closely at the pool so we don't have a huge bill for towels at the end of the cruise! Just return them on the last full day, and make sure to tell the deck worker to clear the account, and then double check your account afterwards. (do not wait until the last morning). smoosh21 Posted July 28, 2012 #5 Share Posted July 28, 2012 If you are sailing in a suite, they will put towels out for you in the Cabin. At least they did on our TA sailing while in an OS.
rakes5 Posted July 28, 2012 #6 Share Posted July 28, 2012 I also suggest that you might want to check out your towels on the day before. The morning in port, everyone is trying to get towels. On a few occasions, they were out of clean towels in the morning. While there was only a short wait, those running to an excursion weren't happy. What we have been doing is to exchange our towels for clean ones at the end of each day, bring them to our room for the next day.
Sunebeach Posted July 29, 2012 #7 Share Posted July 29, 2012 On our Freedom cruise last fall when we re-boarded the ship we were greeted by a crew member collecting the used/wet towels and they handed you a nice fresh one warm from the dryer. chipq Posted July 29, 2012 #8 Share Posted July 29, 2012 The towel exchangr while reboarding the ship in port is great, much better than the other large lines. But do check yout beach towels out the day before, you'd be surprised at the line at the towel exchange at some of the ports with high beach activities. http://luv2cruise.blogspot.com
