City Bus Airport to Bayside?

I noticed on the Miami Airport web site there is a city bus to Bayside from the airport. Our hotel is across the street from Bayside. Has anyone taken the bus to get there? I know we would have to carry our luggage on and off, not a big deal. The site says city buses are $1.50 per person. I know I'm on vacation and shouldn't worry about saving money but some people have to.:D

First of all you may want to check to see if they'll even allow you to take all your luggage on a bus, but secondly as the neighborhoods that the city busses go through from MIA to Bayside are quite nasty it's not something I would recommend at all!!! A taxi is around $20 or so- Money well spent!

Thanks for the advice. Had planned on taking two taxis, Six of us. Saw about the buses and thought I'd ask. Thought maybe it would add some flavor to the Miami experience but do not want to put anyone at risk. Thanks again.:)
