sr5242 Posted August 12, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 12, 2012 We are flying out of Barcelona to Chicago, connecting/changing flights in London. Does anyone know what time we'd need to be at the Barcelona airport for the flight to London? Is it considered international? Would they check us through to Chicago or would we need to recheck in at London? Thanks!
Rare ttnc4me Posted August 13, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2012 At least 2 hours, if not closer to 3 depending on the day you're travelling. (ie: the same morning all the other cruise folks are leaving) If your ticket was purchased under one reservation, then you'll be checked through to ORD. It's not considered international until your LHR leg. You'll likely land in one terminal and need to transfer to another in London...depending on your carrier. ie: land in T-5 and transfer to T-3. At that time, you'll have to pass through immigration & customs.
