Rare itsanita Posted August 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2012 We will be in Quebec City on a Saturday and Sunday. Our plan was to rend a car on Saturday, but to spend Sunday walking around the town. My questions: will the stores/Restaurants be open on Sunday? We will be there Oct 13 & 14th. Is the someplace you would recommend for lunch on Sunday? and is there a catholic church avaialble within walking distance of the pier? thanks
Twickenham Posted August 14, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2012 There was a time when everything was closed on Sundays. Fortunately, that time has long passed, and you should find most shops/restaurants open. Notre-Dame-des-Victoires church is an easy walk from the cruise terminal. As for recommendations, I remember quite liking Le Lapin Sauté (although it's been a while since I've been there), and I believe it's quite close to the church. There are lots of other restaurants, and usually what I end up doing is reading menus 'til I find something that I like (all restaurant menus are posted so as to be visible from the outside, as per the law).
