digtexas Posted August 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2012 We arrive at Heathrow, Terminal 5 at 7:30 am from the U.S. on Sep 2, followed by a flight to Brussels on Brussels Air at 11:00 am. We want to claim our 2 large suitcases once we arrive and deliver them to a driver who will drop them at our friends' home, where we will get them before boarding our ship a few days later. Question: should we have any problem claiming our bags, clearing immigration, giving them to the driver, transferring to Terminal 1 and going through security, and checking in before 10 am? We should have roughly 2 1/2hours if our flight arrives on time. Thank you!
cruising cockroach Posted August 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2012 If there are no delays in clearing immigration and getting your bags, you don't miss the driver and he/she drives to over to T1 and it isn't busy, you will have a bit more than enough time, but not by much. If immigration reverts to the chaos immediately pre-5 ring circus (0730 is a busy arrival time), then I say slim chance.
