.... We will be in an M6 (mini-suite with large balcony) on the April 30 transatlantic. I'll try to post pics or video. Having seen the tiny balconies on the early pics and videos, I think we made the right choice (not that we'll be able to enjoy it much in the north Atlantic :-).

Ok, Joeski27, cjlgd9603, and others waiting for an M6 balcony shot, here are a couple of shots I took on the transatlantic crossing. I'll post a full review sometime this week on CC and link it here.

Not sure if it gets edited out here, but the url is imgur-dot-com before the code number.

According to the stats, the Breakaway's 2 Bed 2 Bath balconies (at 43sf) are almost exactly half the size of those on the Epic and 11sf smaller than the SC (non Haven 2bed/2 ba) on the Dawn (54sf). I think that's where most of the complaining on this thread arises from. They will be tight, even for two!

The Epic's S4 balconies are the same size as Jewel class S4's according to my research, and the same size as the Dawn's SC as mentioned. Can you share your source?

The Breakaway S4 balconies are 11 sqft smaller than other ships S4's as stated unfortunately. But I can live with that. I wonder if the S4's on GA will be larger.

And in a very interesting bit of news, I see LOUNGERS! (but only in the one, which means 1) they must have asked for them, and 2) their wish was granted!...

Did you see the 'happy face' fireworks? The finale was fantastic! It also looked like a plane flew through the fireworks.

they were awesome. face was very cool. They were not fired from the ship. They were fired from a barge, I think the city may have put them on

According to NY Fire Dept, NCL was the sponsor:

The following is a list of legal fireworks displays that have been issued permits by the Fire Department:

Wednesday, May 8, 8:30 PM: N.Y. Harbor, Liberty Island

Sponsor: Norwegian Cruise Lines

I apologize, I had it reversed. The Epic's S4 Haven balconies are only 54 sf, same as the Jewel-class SC (non-haven) and Dawn SC balconies. It's the Jewel class S4 Haven 2bd/2ba suites that are nearly double in size at 85 sf (at least on the Jewel and the Jade). The Breakaway's S4 balconies are 43 sf. At least that's what http://www.ncl.eu says.

If you go to the site, it's a little convoluted to get the info. Start with a search for ship only. Then pick a date. Then put in your "country" (I use Germany). When the choices come up, click on suites, then the suite type, then "view details", then "show staterooms". Then click on "Expand stateroom details" to get all the info.

Either way, the 43 sf should be fine for my needs, we sail with 3 people in there at most and only use it for viewing and smoking, so not out there much. But don't think the will be enough space for loungers like we have had on the Jade and Jewel.

I wonder if the B6 large balcony is the same size. It is what we have booked, which are just above te M6s.
