Storing Luggage in Vancouver?

Disembarking in Vancouver at 7:30a and taking train to Seattle around 5:30. Would like to visit Vancouver for the day, but not sure what to do with our luggage. Since we do not have a flight package with Princess, is there a place that Princess will hold our luggage for that day?

The Amtrak website mentions a baggage drop at the train station. Might be worth looking into as the station isn't fair from where the ship docks. You could take a cab there, leave the luggage and have the day to tour.

The baggage office seems to open at different times, depending on when a Via Rail train comes in. 8a 4x weekly, 12p the other 3x weekly.

Priority Baggage do a baggage storage service at Canada Place. Hours are 07:30 to 16:00. Check their website for prices.

We just did the evening train from Vancouver to Seattle after departing the Island princess earlier this month, and we choose to take taxis over to the tail station and check our bags there as we also wanted to pick up our tickets before we began out touring plans for the day.

 

The taxi fare was $10.50 before tip, and then VIA Rail charged us $3 per bag to store them. When we reclaimed our bags around 4:15 that afternoon (we had business class seats but 5 people travelling so we wanted to get seats together), they also let us weigh a couple of bags that we thought would be close to the 50 lb weight limit so we didn't have to dig out our own digital scale that we have packed.

 

We later talked with someone who had stored their bags at Canada place and I believe they had paid more per bag, plus I liked the idea of getting the bags to their final destination, and not having to back track later in the day.

I've used both - there are also self-serve lockers at the Via Rail terminal out by the bus loading area. Have Cash or an Interac-capable debit card to pay Via, FYI.

There is a commercial baggage check at Canada Place called Priority Baggage Services. You also could take it to the Pan Pacific or the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel across the street and give the bell desk a nice tip to hold it for you in their lock-up. You are going to waste valuable time going back and forth to the train station.
