cruise@50 Posted August 28, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2012 Hello, we are going on our cruise from Galveston to Progreso and Cozumel in Dec. We are looking for excursions that are still available and are not as pricey as the on-board booking. Is anyone still looking for add-ons?

sewut Posted August 28, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 28, 2012 You didn't mention what you like to do, so I'll tell you what we're doing when we go on the Triumph in January. In Progreso, we like to get a massage on the beach. Take the free bus to town and walk to the beach that you see on your left when you are on the pier. There are massage tables set up and they will give you a one hour, head to toe massage for $20. It's wonderful. In Cozumel, we plan to snorkel at the Money Bar. We have our own equipment, but you can rent some there also. Just take a taxi and there is no admission but they expect you to purchase food or drink from them. They have a shower and clean restrooms too.

They are the company that provides the shuttle service from the pier into town. They offer tours of the Mayan ruin sites at far better prices than the cruise line and have an office at the pier.
