Diamond Princess onboard currency?

Recommended Posts

My parents are booked to travel on the Diamond Princess in January. They have been advised that only the Sun, Dawn and Sea Princesses are exempt from paying gratuities.

I'm guessing that this means the Diamond Princess hasn't been "Australianised". Does that mean that the onboard currency is likely to be US dollars?

yes the currency is in USD so they would have to pay the tips or reduce them
