Galveston locals..lodging help

I am looking for a small, not chain, motel! We will be arriving late the day before our cruise so all we really need is a place to sleep. Will also be looking to stay a few days post cruise.

 

We prefer to stay in local owned properties and not the big chains. We don't need a pool, breakfast or any of the extras. Other than to sleep and shower we plan to spend all our time enjoying your beautiful island and not the motel!
