EithneMay Posted September 4, 2012 #51 Share Posted September 4, 2012 We empty both suitcases when we board and they go under the bed. One we designate for dirty laundry and one for things we buy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Zoey Posted September 4, 2012 #52 Share Posted September 4, 2012 Some people choose to air it on Cruise Critic :D I, however, take a couple of Kroger grocery bags or use the plastic laundry bags in the cabin closet or from the hotel I stay in prior to the cruise. Bailey & Sophie Posted September 4, 2012 Author #53 Share Posted September 4, 2012 Ok so now I have quite a few ideas: We tried the overhead compartment. Great idea until I opened the door and everything fell out. It's not a pretty sight when you are caught on camera wearing dirty unders on your head. Also tried throwing it down to the cabin below. Someone else must have thought it a good idea too. The cabin was waaaay too busy or not organized. Someone is still missing a pink tut and a coconut bra. No one is getting these things back until I get the full story! I think I'll go to Dollar Tree to see what they have. Thanks for the great laughs and ideas. grammyandpoppy Posted September 4, 2012 #54 Share Posted September 4, 2012 Poppy and I save up our older undies for the cruise - same goes for sleepwear. We toss them in the trash and laugh about burying them at sea. Not very romantic but practical!
New Hampshire Posted September 4, 2012 #55 Share Posted September 4, 2012 I love my pop up mesh hamper. I use it whenever we travel and always on cruises. It fits nicely in the closet. I always bring some plastic bags for the dirty laundry in the suitcase coming home. We always use the laundry perks to enable us to take fewer clothes to lighten the luggage. Jade13 Posted September 4, 2012 #56 Share Posted September 4, 2012 I never know where to put our dirty laundry. Send it to be washed:)
coffeebean Posted September 4, 2012 #57 Share Posted September 4, 2012 We have taken a lg. trash bag and put it on the floor of our closet. Everytime we have dirty clothes just put it in the bag. That is what we do anytime we travel on cruises, land vacations or just visiting friends or relatives. We use a large kitchen garbage bag. Works great. navyrotorhead Posted September 5, 2012 #58 Share Posted September 5, 2012 A mesh laundry bag works for us....and we take some woolite or equivalent...something that won't foam too much in a hot tub late at night :) To just wear the clothes in the hot tub? No need for a bag, and no wrinkles.:p
jcrandle Posted September 5, 2012 #59 Share Posted September 5, 2012 My mother used to always say, "Be sure to to have clean underwear on, in case your are in an accident!" So I figure if I have dirty underwear on, I'm protected from being in an accident.
