Alcohol programs

NCL does not have an alcohol card that would be similar to a soda card. They only do this for groups of 20 or more adults that book as a group and all adults in the group must purchase the alcohol package.

NCL does have a "bar set-up" that you can order ahead of time by contacting your PCC or NCL reservations. Basically a bottle of liquor along with a couple mixers and garnishes. Prices start at $80/liter or more depending on the liquor, some are $100/liter or more. Plus a $3 per bottle fee. It is cheaper than the per drink fee, and it's nice if you want to have a couple drinks out on your balcony. We sometimes get this, especially for longer cruises.

Bringing liquor or beer on board is not allowed. Although some people manage to sneak it on board, they do catch a lot of it, but not all of it. They will dump anything that is open or not in the original sealed container. Anything in an original sealed container will be held and returned at the end of the cruise.

Wine or champagne can be brought on board for $15 for 750ml bottle. More for larger bottles although the increased fee is not always consistently enforced. Boxes of wine are supposedly not allowed, although several people report being allowed to bring them on board or sneak them on board.

Hopefully this helps, and I know others will chime in with additional info.
