CC - Preferred Dining Arrangements

Hello! Debating about booking a CC cabin just to get the preferred dining arrangements. Hubby is very particular. Anyone out there not get their dining preferences when booking Concierge Class? How about just booking a regular balcony cabin - any issues with dining preferences. We typically cruise Personal Choice just to avoid these issues. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

What is your preferred dining arrangement? I booked a regular outside guarantee and got the Main seating, which we asked for. No problems at all.

You can join the Captain's Club for free of charge now and pre-book you dinning arrangements up to 60 days in advance. Haven't tried out this service yet, but plan to try it for our upcoming trip.

We decided on just a balcony room rather than CC on the Millie becuase of reading about the noise that some of the CC rooms have due to being below the Resort Deck.

We are just off the Summit and were booked CC class. We had requested 6 months in advance late seating table for two. We did receive late seating but a table for 6. It was a huge hassle trying to get our table changed. Ruge arrogant dining room manager who promised he would be in touch the next day. He wasn't. We had to track him down the next day and he finally changed our table but it was a horrible location and he was a total jerk! He said he does not treat CC passengers any differantly. We heard many complaints about this man, Robert I think was his name. He was horrible to deal with.

uh oh! That was just the nightmare I was worried about. The biggest reason for us booking CC was to get preferred dining. We have never been able to get a table for two by requesting in advance or by begging the maitre'd once on the ship. I was hoping booking CC was the answer! We were waitlisted for early dining and upgraded to CC for only a small amount each last month. When I put in the request for early dining it was changed that day on the X website on the documents link. So for us it worked. Scott

Preferred dining means early or late seating.. and that is all. Has nothing to do with table size... as sizes of the tables can and do change from one sailing to the next and therefore, cannot be guaranteed.

Anybody know if it makes a difference if we're in a suite? I know we could have in-room dining, but I wasn't sure if it's hard to get a table for 2 in the dining room. We're on Millie in October, traveling with a family group of others who all want early seating. We're doing late seating, since we have our toddler along (we can swap off watching her while we/family eat on alternate seatings). We were a little apprehensive about the table mates on later seating, since some have suggested mostly Europeans eat later and Americans dine earlier. That said, we're not at all concerned about the others not being nice people, just that we might not speak the language of our table mates.
