Dengue fever outbreak?!

was just reading several articles regarding an outbreak of dengue fever in New Providence (Nassau). Has anyone recently got sick from traveling to Nassau? We will be there next weekend with 70 other friends and family for our wedding cruise...should we be worried??

Dengue Fever is transmitted by mosquitoes. Put a repellent with Deet on you when wandering where mosquitoes are common and avoid being outside at dusk. More info on this disease is here.

We had a problem with dengue last year.. this year, we had only 2 cases and they were in the out islands..

THe warnings that you read are hold overs from last years outbreak.

 

if you're worried, use a bug repellent.
