aggiemom11 Posted September 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 15, 2012 Is anyone traveling from Montego Bay to Negril on Oct. 3? We will be arriving via Carnival Magic. We really want to see Negril? Any advice?
nativetexasgal Posted September 17, 2012 #2 Share Posted September 17, 2012 We have stayed in Negril for a week; May 2012. Negril is in our opinion the best area of the island. Just make sure you allow enough time to get back to the boat. The roads are skimpy (closer to Negril) & if you get stuck bc of an accident, not good. Just hang out at the beach, walk the beach hit the restuarants, bars, etc.

nativetexasgal Posted September 18, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 18, 2012 1) the beach & water are the best. clean beaches, water great for floating or swimming 2) lots of little restaurants & bars along the beach - easy to pop in/out 3) must eat some jerk chicken - best place is on the main road across the street from CocoLoPalm hotel (a few feet from Margaritaville) stay away from Margaritaville - its very touristy, food is like fast food, & drinks are weak 4) ck out the cliffs & watch the divers. If you go to beach area, anywhere around CocoLoPalm which is roughly the middle of seven mile beach, you can catch a small glass bottom boat (the one in front of cocola palm is great) & they will take by water around to the Cliffs. you can stay there have a drink or two & watch the divers. the boat driver will wait for you. :)
