Mariner of the Seas-How to get to Observation Deck

Recommended Posts

We will be sailing on the Mariner of the Seas on July 3rd of this year and I was wondering how do you get to the area in the very front of the ship, I believe it is called the observation deck. It has the helicopter landing space on it and is green (correct me if that is not what it's for). Anyway I think most of you know what I am talking about. If someone could please provide me with how to get to that location so I don't wander around and get lost, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If I remember correctly you need to go into the Lotus Lounge on the 5th deck then out the side door and and you will be on outdoor deck then up a short flight of stairs to pointy end of the ship and you will be on the obervation area ..we used it an initial meeting place for all our roll caller last year.

The 1st poster is correct, the access is forward off of deck 4 near the dining rooms, up the stairs to the helipad. There is also an observation area or "peek-a-boo" for the bridge forward of deck 11, forward from the exit out of the solarium area.

Gidget -

I'll be on that sailing with you. Have you checked out the Roll Call board? We have a Meet & Mingle planned - come over and join the fun!!

We sailed last November and that was our favorite place to go after dinner. They have benchs you can sit on and it is so nice at night. We are sailing again in October this year and read somewhere that they closed this off at night now. Does anyone know if this is true?

Thanks for answering.

micbooth, the helipad was open well after dark for our 5/01 sailing on the mariner (it got dark quite early in the St.Thomas/St.Maarten areas). And it is kept quite dark, as to not interfere with the bridge at night.
