Hotel help needed for hotwire??

Got got an email from Hotwire that the following hotels are on a one day sale. From the locations what would be your recommendations for a good location from airport to cruise peir? Is Renton a good area? These seem like good hotels, but then again we are not very picky!!

Renton - Kent area hotel (3*) for $ 57

Downtown - Pike Place area hotel (3.5*) for $169

Downtown - Pike Place area hotel (3*) for $133

There are a number of hotels in Renton that bill themselves as "airport hotels," but they're actually a few miles from the airport. They're in an area that's mostly office parks and light industrial businesses--not a lot of restaurants or shopping within walking distance. Public transportation is also more limited than the actual airport area (which I would define as the International Boulevard corridor, west of I-5). They're nowhere near the cruise piers (but then, neither is the airport). If you want a base for a day or two of sightseeing, and you're renting a car, they could be a good bargain--but if you're relying on transit or cabs, I wouldn't recommend them.

 

Pike Place Market is a great area--close to a lot of the sights, tons of restaurants and shopping nearby, and reasonable access to the piers.
