Thanks. Does antone know when they are going to be introduced to the Independence. I am considering taking my grandchildren on a cruise in 2014 and they would love this.

I would imagine they will have them by 2014. I was told they likely would not be onboard for my next cruise, which is in July 2013.

I dont understand why it would take so long to roll out Coke machines. How hard could it be?

We are booked on the Indy for March, 2013. I have heard that soon after, she will go out of service for some time for upgrades. I remember seeing a website listing all of the upgrades it is getting.

 

It might be reasonable to think that they would these new soda machines are part of the upgrade.

Most likely to do with economics and budgets. No point in sticking in new features at various intervals incurring additional expense when all can be done at refurb. I believe there is a programme for all ships in the fleet to be taken out of service to be given Oasis type facilities added. Full marks to RCCL for doing this.
