Earthworm Jim Posted September 28, 2012 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2012 I don't know that it's dying out just yet, but it certainly doesn't seem to be getting any stronger. In the NHC's projected wind speed chart that have it as a great than 50% chance to still be a tropical storm or hurricane all the way into next Wednesday, as far out as the chart goes. That would make it's lifetime about 3 weeks, which would still be almost a week short of the record. But, agreed, it's not the slightest bit of a threat to a Bahamas cruise.
