TrentS Posted May 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2005 It's about a 30-40 minute drive from the Seaquarium to Metrozoo. If you're going down to Metrozoo I would recommend renting a car as a taxi would be more expensive. Teens that age though LOVE South Beach! The beach is awesome, and they would also love the trendy shops along Collins and Washington Avenues. Ocean Drive is full of sidewalk cafes and has some of the best "people watching" on the planet! Sonny Posted July 21, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 21, 2005 Crandon Park Beach is another place our family enjoyed. Too many topless at South beach for our kids. Crandon Park Beach is one of the top 10 beaches in the nation. http://www.gmcvb.com/crandon_park_beach.asp
TrentS Posted July 21, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 21, 2005 Crandon Park is fine, but come on... It's not the kids who have a "problem" with toplessness, it's the parents! The kids couldn't care less, they're more interested in playing in the sand & water, and if your "kids" are teens, then trust me, they've seen it all already! cruisingrightalong Posted August 5, 2005 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2005 Suggest the rental car....and going out to the Everglades...Safari Park...we did and took a private airboat tour...very reasonable....you will enjoy and easy to get to...just a distance away...we left after breakfast and were back mid afternoon. JoyAnn Posted August 10, 2005 #7 Share Posted August 10, 2005 How about a trip to see Vizcaya? Fantastic house to tour with wonderful art collection, it's right on the Biscayne Bay. We went there before our last cruise and loved it, here's the link: http://www.vizcayamuseum.org/

kchesneylover Posted August 13, 2005 #11 Share Posted August 13, 2005 There are few if none topless women walking around south beach. (I live here). If they do go topless, they are lying on their stomachs or are in the water. Unless you are going to a nude beach, which they will have signs, I would not worry. The only thing to fear at South Beach are the people who litter. And let me tell you almost EVERYONE litters here. They have no problem with it. I think it is gross, disrespectful and ignorant to litter, but most people do. Other fun things to do in Miami are Coral Castle, Venetian Pool (in Coral Cables), or Parrot Jungle. Crandon Park Beach is another place our family enjoyed. Too many topless at South beach for our kids. Crandon Park Beach is one of the top 10 beaches in the nation.
