Which itinerary do you prefer for Christmas Markets?

DW and I want to see the Christmas Markets. We've never taken a river cruise, and can't decide between the Rhine, Main or Danube itinerarys. Still deciding on which cruise line, and this should help narrow it down.

We've done the Danube Christmas Markets and they were great. This year we are doing the Main. Maybe we'll try the Rhine next year.

 

I don't think you can go wrong with any of the rivers.

We have done them all and each has its plusses and minuses. The Main was our last favorite.

 

We really prefer maximum time in port so I would carefully read the detailed itineraries to see which offers that. And we enjoyed late port stays as the towns/cities are really gorgeous in the evenings.

 

Favorite ports at this time of year are Regensburg, Wurzburg, Bamberg.
