The early cruises not only had passenger talent shows, but they taped them and showed them on the cabin tv sets. I did not know this when I sang in the show on the Westerdam. When we entered our cabin after the show and turned on the TV, there I was! That was a real shock. In later years when Perry Grant was playing in the Piano Bar, I was able to sing with him. He named me Barbara DuBois and told a wild story of how he had discovered me and made me a star!

I remember skeet shooting. We were on (I think is was Chandris cruise line) and a friend of mine did shoot. The men were all giving her advice. They were shock when she started shooting. What they did not know she was a New York city police officer. Boy, could she was good at skeet shooting. It was funny to see peoples faces as she shot.

Skeet shooting, haven't seen that in a long time. What a great story. I love it when somebody excedes expectations!
