feathersandnananose Posted October 14, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2012 We snorkeled in Hawaii, and - to our delight - the company had "prescription" masks (designated 2X, 3X....). Because we weren't sure we'd ever snorkel again, getting our own masks wasn't an option. (And neither of us can wear contacts.) So the question is, how common is it for snorkeling tours to have these simple (leveled 2X, 3X, etc.) "prescription" masks? Anyone know?
Middleager Posted October 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2012 Not very often. Only those that deal with a large volume of people would stock them. It is an extra cost to them, and often not used. So unless they feel they can recoup the extra costs from the customers, most tour ops don't provide them.
