Mlascheid Posted October 18, 2012 #1 Share Posted October 18, 2012 Hello, Thinking of booking a cat. VB cabin on the Nieuw Amsterdam. I'm wondering what type of sofa is available for the third person? Is it an actual pullout sofa(single or double width), or is it just the type of sofa that the steward will take the back cushion off and make it into a twin bed? Thank you for any info. It's much appreciated!
iriemon Posted October 18, 2012 #2 Share Posted October 18, 2012 It is a pull out sofa, not the most comfortable but our DD sleeps on it fine. They close it up every morning and open it in the evening. There have been times that they have left it open during the day, and one mention to our room steward and it was taken care of. Mlascheid Posted October 18, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted October 18, 2012 Thanks for the info iriemon! Is the width of it actually sofa size, or is it only a loveseat size?

Here is a photo of VB 6036's sofa in the open position for you to see (you can click on the photo to see it full sized) There are more photos of the VB staterooms here, they are about 1/2 way down the page: http://abqreunion2008.com/Nieuw_Amsterdam/Deck-6.html Joanie

lvz2cruz Posted October 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted October 19, 2012 It is oversized chair to a small loveseat size. It opens to a twin bed so you have that width plus arms.
