mseldga Posted November 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted November 3, 2012 My family and I will be on the Ruby Princess eastern Caribbean route in March 2013. We have stops at Princess Cays, St. Thomas, St. Marteen, and Grand Turk. I'm planning on lots of snorkeling trips/beach days, but my husband wants to spend one day deep sea fishing w/ our kids at one of the stops. Has anyone done a deep sea fishing excursion - either private or through Princess - from any of these ports? A deep sea fishing excursion is offered through Princess on Princess Cays, but I've searched on the Princess Cays forum and couldn't find anyone who has reported back on how that excursion is. I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone deep sea fishing from any of these ports - Thanks so much!
juniper berries Posted November 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2012 We went deep sea fishing when we stopped in Grand Turk a couple of years ago. It was great my husband and I both caught baricodas. They sure put up a fight. Other people on the boat got fish that I donot know the name of. Have not been deep sea fishing at princess cays but did try the surf fishing last december it was fun as well. Did not catch anything . It was fun to try. The water was warm and the was a nice breeze to keep you cool. Others did get fish. It is catch and release. Both exccursions were booked through princess.Hope this is of some help. Hope you are able to get fishing and have good luck.:)

bgbaird Posted November 8, 2012 #4 Share Posted November 8, 2012 The fishing excursion at Princess Cays is really good. If you ever get to St Kitts or Nevis, Sam the Boat Man rocks!
