What to do for afternoon?

Cruising on the Dawn in December. Have the "Barrier Reef Snorkel & Beach Break" booked through NCL at 830am - noon.

 

What are some recommendations to do in the afternoon after the excursion before going back to the ship? Really open to anything. Shopping / eating / beach / nature / hiking / etc

Since you're winding down in the afternoon you wouldn't want to stray too far away from the port. Several things that you can do however is either a tour of the city or a Countryside tour. These wont take long as the countryside is just about 20km outside of the city, we were in Belize 2010 on Royal Caribbean and we did the city and countryside tour with one of the locals which is easy to find as there are many of them to greet you as soon as you leave the terminal.
