fergieis Posted December 1, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2012 On RC private island, Cococay, what is there for small children to do? Are there any spash zones (like on Labadee)?
crusinmama06 Posted December 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2012 LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Coco Cay! We have been very fortunate to make it there for 3 separate cruises. And I understand that many have missed it because of weather. It is our favorite private island (yes better than Labadee). They have the floating Aqua Park - this would be a little much for little kids They have a water slide (but the kids would have to be 48" tall to ride) For some reason I think I remember walking past a squirting water park (but it wasn't up and running so I didn't take a picture) My girls had the most fun on the beach. It really is beautiful. Be sure not to leave your food unattended - the trained seagulls can remove an entire plate in less than 3.1 seconds lol
sjb.illinois Posted December 17, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2012 The only thing I would add is that the sand can be VERY sharp and rocky, so water shoes are a must. Also, when in line to tender back there is little to no shade for long stretches of line, so plan for this with sunblock, etc. My fair little babes would have withered away if they had to wait in the same line I did on my grownups only cruise back in June.
