Is there enough on board for them to do or is is more "fancy"? :)
cruiserziggy Posted December 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2012 June 2013 we attempt the 10 night Reflection out of Civit. (Rome) Kids are ages 7 & 8. Wwe have done a Disney cruise with them and did Europe last summer and they loved it. They travel very well (Thank God). Is there enough on board for them to do or is is more "fancy"? :) We have taken 3 Solstice class cruises in Europe with our kids. The first summer was the same itinerary as the June Reflection itinerary this year. We all had a great time. There are not as many dedicated activities for the kids as on Disney and the kids clubs on the other S-class ships (can't speak about Reflection, but it should be similar to the others) are smaller than what Disney has. However, during the summer there were many families with children on board. On that particular sailing, there were approximately 500 kids. There was always something for the kids to do. We have sailed Disney once and enjoyed it. We found their kids programs to be excellent, probably the best we have encountered. However, we have sailed Celebrity numerous times, both with the kids and without. That should show you our preference. If your kids are really "Disney kids" and look forward to the whole "Disney thing", they might miss it a bit. However, if that particular aspect isn't so important, there should be plenty to keep them busy and everyone should have a good time. For my family (especially for a port intensive European cruise) we pick Celebrity S-class every time. Hope this helps.
