thomsonfirsttimer Posted December 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2012 Hello We were fortunate to win a VIP trip onboard Voyager in Porsmouth today. She sets sail tomorrow on her maiden voyage. Voyager is smaller than all of the ships we have been on before (Princess, P&O and Thomson) but this means she is able to access remote destinations other ships cannot reach! We explored a variety of cabins and many of the public spaces before having a wonderful lunch. The lounges are all very pleasant and have a variety of themes and colour schemes. Scott's Lounge would be a cosy place to meet for pre dinner cocktails as it has a warm dark colour scheme and soft seating for example. The Lookout Lounge at the front of the ship has natural beige tones which are very nice nut a nightmare to keep clean I would imagine! There is a new terrace with wodden seating behind the Veranda buffet restaurant which is extremely classy for a buffet if a little narrow. The library is oddly situated near the main dining room and would be prone to fellow passengers using it as a thoroughfare, There is a bridge club which was packed with many large chairs making it seem crowded but apparantly these are to be replaced - if this is so they had better crack on as the launch is tomorrow! There is a gymnasium with a pleasant panoramic view and a range of equipment. The main dining room was very nice, although somewhat cramped. The food was excellent as was the service. Some of the balcony cabins had very small, narrow balconies. It was nice to have an outside space but there was no room to stretch out and certainly no room for a sunbed. Please let me know if you have any questions. I will be happy to try and answer them. Rachael :)
