Docs came yesterday but we still have no cabin number. We have outside guarantee. Anyone hear of this? I keep looking at the immigration form on the website but nothing is listed yet. Any ideas/suggestions? Planning to call tA on Tues. Candy Posted May 29, 2005 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2005 GTY cabin assignments are made closer to sail time. Have patience and check the Immigration page from time to time... you may not know anything until you get to the pier. JoanneF Posted May 29, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted May 29, 2005 Right, Candy-Can't stand the suspense. Funny that my sister has an assignment, though.
tomc Posted May 29, 2005 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2005 I think you and I might be sharing the same cabin -- 000. Is that right?
stormyc Posted May 29, 2005 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2005 Congratulations on the doc dance!! Hope you receive your cabin assignment soon - just so you'll know. :)
seabunkie Posted May 29, 2005 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2005 We booked a balcony on a guarantee and then spent a couple of months worrying about what cabin we would end up with. We shouldn't have worried: exactly two weeks before we sailed, I noticed a cabin number assignment on the immigration form, and we had been "upgraded" from the guarantee we booked (Category VD) to Category VC. (Not a huge upgrade, granted, but it made me feel good!) And the cabin was perfect! Be patient. And check about two weeks before sail date. shipcafe Posted May 29, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2005 Stateroom numbers are typically assigned 5 to 7 days prior to sailing. Some exceptions may provide it earlier, though . . .
yugniffirg Posted May 29, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 29, 2005 Keep your fingers crossed. If the ship isn't full, there's a good chance that you'll get an upgrade.
shipcafe Posted May 29, 2005 #9 Share Posted May 29, 2005 Keep your fingers crossed. If the ship isn't full, there's a good chance that you'll get an upgrade. According to the web site, almost all round-trip Vancouver Inside Passage sailings are fully sold throughout the summer so it makes it that much more interesting!
