Faster to the Fun?

FTTF is the best value (like VIP) when you arrive at the terminal BEHIND the 5 transport buses from the airport.....

folks flying into Miami get the same embarkation perk for free when they use the Airport Express table at the airport....

and you have to look at things like...

does your itinerary have a port where you tender? If not, then this would not be a benefit you would use.

do you go to Guest Services a lot? If so, this would be a great benefit.

I will warn that Priority Debarkation is a zoo.....and it will only be more of a zoo with FTTF added to it...so do not expect any GREAT benefit from that portion.

There was another thread I saw last night where lots of people had already used it and thought it was well worth the money. We don't have any tender ports and seldom go to guest services but being able to get on the ship quicker to relax on my balcony is worth it to me as is getting my luggage earlier.

I agree. I purchased it for no other reason but to get to my room early and relax before the fun. I mostly drive to the ports since I live within travel distance to where I normally cruise from, so to relax beforehand IMHO, that pays for itself. All of the other perks are nice, but it will be well worth it to me to relax and enjoy my balcony :D.

Pay to break in line in front of others, eh?

And that they do!! When we were being escorted out of the vip lounge on our recent Liberty cruise. The fttf people saw us and just got in line with us. The announcement said only vips but I saw many people who I knew from our roll call that were NOT vip but who purchased fttf in line in front of the vips

We used it last week on our cruise and loved it! We hope to get to use it again soon.

How do you think the others you paid to break in line in front of felt about it?

Do you think they "hope you get to do it again soon?"

They had the option to purchase it and chose not to. They don't really have the right to complain. We got it because we have an 11 month old who needs to nap right about the time we would be getting on the ship so getting to the room was important to us. Maybe not so much for others though.

Exactly. The company gets rewarded with the "purchase", and line breaking is allowed, at others expense. Attaching a "fun" or "purchase" to it does not change what it is: LINEBREAKING.

Do you somehow feel entitled or exempt because you have a sleepy 11 month old? I raised three kids, and never, ever thought I was entitled to anything extra because of it. If my kids "needed a nap" they fell asleep on my shoulder. I didn't break in line anywhere.

I used this on the Dream 2 weeks ago...it worked great! got on board and in my cabin by 11 am. Most of my luggage was waiting on me. Used guest service direct phone a couple of times...I called guest services for an issue, they never picked up...remembered about the direct line, called it, they picked up right away and issue was resolved! Was in line at guest services and it really came in handy as there were about 7 or 8 people in line to cash out sign & sail cards....Tender wasnt an issue because we didnt do much in Belize....did not see any advantage at debarkation....Just purchased this for my February cruise also....worth the money for me!

Yes I do feel entitled because I PURCHASED IT. I am not breaking the law or cutting in line. I paid a price for a service and I am entitled to that service. Please don't knock others for doing something that they purchase.

Its not linebreaking it is a 49.95 service you can choose to buy or not. Geesh

From a FTTF cruiser last week, I respectfully disagree. We were looking at a 10-hour drive and were sent to one of the dining rooms, where we were among the first ones off the ship. Not having used this perk before, we avoided the masses, so it was well worth it to us.

I will be using it in Jan on the Destiny because I can and I want to and feel entitled as well. ;) Can't wait to take part in the "Linebreaking" lol :D

Well said. I am not sure why people try to knock other people for spending their money the way they want to spend it. I earned my money and am ENTITLED to spend it anyway that choose!!!

Me too!!! But I will take part in the linebreaking in March!!! :D

....you are called forward to board in the FTTF group and you do.....If you don't like people getting on board before you....buy the package or take more cruises to get to a priority status and just quit your whining! Sheesh!

People are just crotchety about this because they don't want to pay the money and don't feel anyone else should either. There are plenty of good reasons to pay the 50 bucks for it. And it sounds like it's a good value for certain situations. We are on two cruises in January and purchased it for the priority embarkation, debarkation, and priority tenders.

as we need to get off the ship fast get into a rental car drive up to port Canaveral to make our other cruise. I for one am so glad this option was available to us, it makes it much easier to guarantee we get there on time. as we aren't in a rush to get on or off the second cruise we didn't worry about it for that one.

Ignore the haters, do what makes sense for your cruise and above all Have a fantastic time ! :)

For those of you complaining about it, don't buy it and don't use it.

It's called CAPITALISM. Carnival is selling a product; it's called FTTF. People are buying. If me, or you, don't buy it, someone else will. So stop bashing people who are buying it. Stop giving them dirty looks b/c they bought something the cruise line offered. To me, that's equivalent to giving someone who got offered a deal of a lifetime to upgrade a dirty look! Why did THEY get offered the upgrade while someone else didn't?

If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at Carnival, not the consumer!
