manyquestionscruiser Posted December 11, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2012 Snorkelers--If you were to buy one snorkeling excursion, would it be in Aruba or St Maarten? We are going to snorkel off of the beach in the other ports but that doesn't seem to be an option in these two ports. Which would give us better snorkeling? Thanks again!! phillie gal Posted December 11, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2012 You can snorkel off the beach in Little Bay and Pinel Island on St. Maarten/Martin. Little Bay is closer to Phillipsburg. To get to Pinel Island you need to take a short ferry ride from a spot north of Orient Beach, I forget the name. Neither ST, Maarten or Aruba have great snorkeling IMHO. bdklein Posted December 13, 2012 #3 Share Posted December 13, 2012 Aruba has some pretty good spots. I think better than St. M
snorkelgirlca Posted December 14, 2012 #4 Share Posted December 14, 2012 I went to creole rock on the French side of st Martin in April. Cab ride was more than the 40 usd for each of to have a private two hour snorkel boat all to ourselves 100 usd for cab total. Creole rock sports has a web cite on trip advisor. Snorkeling was good but not the best. Bonaire was better. Did not snorkel on Aruba this trip as I was told spots were not as good as other island options like Bonaire and Barbados on our 14 day trip. Beaches were wonderful though
