Hotel In FLL

How does everyone find good hotel prices here. I never see good prices or can find any. Any helpful hints or places to go to get good deals.

If you use priceline... do you want downtown fll or what... they give so many options???????? PLEASE HELP

I just returned from a few days in Fort Lauderdale. I would suggest staying at the Riverside Hotel - http://www.riversidehotel.com/ It is lovely! It is on Las Olas Blvd, which is an upmarket street, with loads of lovely boutiques, galleries and restaurants. The rate includes breakfast which you can eat outside on the street if you wish. It is a short taxi ride from FLL ($12) but I am not sure about a cruise terminal. I'm sure it can't be far.

 

This is away from the main hotel group - which I think is a plus.

 

But if you wish to be nearer the beach and in the tourist "zone" I have also stayed at the Radisson Bahia Mar - which is also good, but not as unique as the Riverside.

It does have a lovely pool and is right by the water taxi.

We booked the Marriott Renaissance downtown through Priceline. Got it for $175 (normally goes for $225). This was our first experience using priceline and it was okay. DH decided to go high end this time (spoiling me I guess) so that is why we chose Renaissance. Others on these boards have recommended Marriott Marina and Hyatt 66. I checked out hotels through online travel searches and that helped us decide what *** hotel we wanted.

 

If all you need is a clean room, then there are plenty of choices in all categories. If you want extras, then you may have to do some more research.

if it is only for 1 night and you want a room that is convenient, try valuetrips.com for the amerisuites. We usually like something a little

fancier like the pier 66 but i've stayed there and it is very convenient

and has a shuttle and a continental breakfast.

For advice re: Priceline, go to www.betterbidding.com & www.biddingfortravel.com I was able to obtain the Amerisuites in Fort Lauderdale by bidding $50. for 2 1/2*, Downtown FLL.

 

Also, check out the "Hotel-Pre & Post Cruise forum" Many threads there regarding the Fort Lauderdale & Miami area.

The best western marina inn/yacht harbor Free shuttle to airport/port. Looks kinda bad from the outside, but the inside was just remodled within the last few years.

 

Runs about 80 bucks a night
