Cafe De Angel on Ashford across from La Concha Hotel. Nothing fancy but great puerican food and drinks. The portions are large and the prices are even better!!! We have Ben eating here since 2004.

We like Orozco's. owned by the same people as Cafe Del Angel. Food is good service is good, mojitos are great. Good prices. Lots of restaurants with in walking distance so take a stroll and look at the menus.

Depends on what your criteria is. If money is no object, the best fine dining restaurant on the island opened a few months ago. It is called 1919 and is located in the new Condado Vanderbilt Hotel next door to La Concha. Not to say that it is prohibitively expensive but it is not an open-air café. Here is the website

While I haven't eaten at all the restaurants there to make a fair comparison, I thought the meal I had at Budatai was outstanding.

Last year we ate at Hacienda Don Jose on Ashford Dr., overlooks the ocean and we thought the food was delicious - had mofongo. The prices were reasonable.
