seacat66 Posted December 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted December 26, 2012 has anyone booked as a single person in a cabin, and later added on someone in the same cabin? i'm paying the single rate currently. I know port taxes would have to be paid of course, for the second person. they are still booking for my date, so here's hoping it can be done. AmoMondo Posted December 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted December 26, 2012 I did that once years Go, but I had booked via the UK office. I was being charged 100% single supplement on the fly/cruise price, so when I asked to add her on about 2 months before the cruise they did without any problem or additional cost. In the UK we don't pay port charges separately it's all included in the basic fare.

seacat66 Posted January 1, 2013 Author #5 Share Posted January 1, 2013 i booked direct through msc. i am going to call in the morning to try and add my mom. she has finally decided to trust someone to watch our 2 chihuahua's while we are gone. i don't blame her a bit about that, as the doggies are not friendly to anyone but us. but i am really excited to have her decide to go with me. i did my booking almost a year ago. So loved that! My mother, my brother and I have four dogs between us - each with their different personalities, weaknesses and needs. We can never all be away at the same and have to obtain the others' permission(s) before booking a holiday.

Skipper Tim Posted January 2, 2013 #8 Share Posted January 2, 2013 yeah! 2 little bundles of fur dictate to us! They do. I hope to meet you one day. I was a sea-cat once but a CCAT if you can ever find it. Regards, Tim.
seacat66 Posted January 3, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted January 3, 2013 i'm not sure what a CCAT is. when i picked my screen name, we had 5 cats and i love the sea, so it seemed appropriate. somehow we ended up with 2 chihuahua's, which are alot like cats most of the time. today i added my mom to the booking. it was no problem at all. i am so relieved. i just called their 800 phone number, and spoke to 2 people about adding her. there was not one issue. they just took the additional information, and credit card for the extra port and government taxes and fees. then i booked the flight for her and called it done!! yeah!!!
