Guernsey (St Peter Port) on Sunday?

We will be in Guernsey on a Sunday. I've seen that most shops are closed; is there anything else that we should not plan on being open? Are attractions like Cornet Castle and the Little Chapel open? Are the local pubs open? Does the bus run a reduced schedule?

Hi

Yes, most of the shops in St Peter Port will be closed. The buses are running a "Sunday" schedule, you can check times etc on http://www.buses.gg Another good website is visitguernsey.com where you can find lots of information. Castle Cornet is open daily March to October, and there are guided tours on a Sunday. If you have time, take the 7 or 7a bus, which takes you around the whole coastline of Guernsey. If you are comfortable driving on small roads, then you may wish to consider hiring a car, so that you can see many sights, as not all are on the same bus routes.

I hope this helps, and that you enjoy your visit to Guernsey.
